Admission requirements for current ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ students applying to the Four-Year Option of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) (Collaborative) Program.
Applications are open for Fall 2027 and for Spring 2027 LPN Bridging.

The Accelerated Option is paused at both the ³§³Ù.&²Ô²ú²õ±è;´³´Ç³ó²Ô’s campus and the Western Regional School of Nursing for Fall 2027. We will not be accepting applications to the Accelerated Option at any of our campuses for this intake.
Apply through your . You don’t need to submit your ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ transcripts, as they are already on file.
Priority for admission is given to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. Out-of-province and international applicants are also encouraged to apply. All applicants must meet ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University’s general admission requirements.
Applying to the Western Regional School of Nursing
If you select Grenfell Campus on your application, nursing will not appear as an area of interest. To apply to the Western Regional School of Nursing in Corner Brook:
- 1. Choose the ³§³Ù.&²Ô²ú²õ±è;´³´Ç³ó²Ô’s campus.
- 2. On the next step of your application, select the Western Regional School of Nursing as your first-choice site.
Four-Year Option requirements
Required high school courses
- Biology 2201 and 3201, or equivalents
- Chemistry 3202, or equivalent
- Math 3200 or 3201, or equivalent
If you completed all of these in high school, you don’t need to take biology, chemistry or math at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ for admission. If you didn’t, you can meet the requirement with ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ courses:
Meeting the requirements at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½
- Biology: the biology courses must be completed as a pair, either both in high school or both at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½. If you completed only one in high school (for example, Biology 3201), you must complete both Biology 1001 and Biology 1002 at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½.
- Chemistry: if you didn’t complete grade 12 chemistry, any one of Chemistry 1010, 1050 or 1051, or Chemistry 1200, 1810 or 1001, meets the requirement.
- Math: if you didn’t complete grade 12 math, three credit hours of math at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ meet the requirement.
Course completion date
All required biology, chemistry and math courses must be completed by July 31, 2027. If any will still be in progress, email the Undergraduate Nursing Admissions Coordinator at nursingadmissions@mun.ca.
Admission average
To be competitive, you should have an average of 70% or higher. We use whichever is higher: your average from one semester in the calendar year before the year you’re applying for (with at least three courses completed), or your cumulative average.
Required items
- Personal statement: optional. You’re welcome to include one, but it isn’t required.
- Proof of Indigenous ancestry, if applicable.
- Other post-secondary studies: if you have attended another college or university, submit official transcripts to the Office of the Registrar.
- References: requested only if needed. The Admissions Coordinator will contact you directly.
Submit all documents by the document deadline, Feb. 3, 2027.
Admission decisions
Admission decisions for the Four-Year Option and LPN Bridging are emailed to your MUNmail account. Check your junk mail folder too, in case the email is filtered there.
Entry-Level Competencies

Every student admitted to the BScN (Collaborative) Program must continue to meet the to remain in the program. These were formerly known as the Requisite Skills and Abilities under the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL).
