“Imagination will get you everywhere.
From the 2026 Research Week invitation by Dr. Rod Russell, Interim Vice-President (Research and Innovation).
Nursing research is making a difference
From improving patient care to strengthening nursing education and health services, research at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University's Faculty of Nursing is helping address the health priorities of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Research funding has grown from approximately $150,000 in 2019 to more than $1.3 million in 2025, reflecting a growing commitment to research that supports patients, families, communities and the health system.
Research starts with curiosity
Whether you're an undergraduate or graduate student, faculty member, educator, researcher or community partner, Research Week is an opportunity to discover new ideas, ask questions and connect with people advancing nursing research.
Calling nursing students at all six teaching sites! Whether you're learning in St. John's, Corner Brook, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor or Happy Valley-Goose Bay, we encourage you to get involved. Wherever you are in your nursing education, your questions, experiences and perspectives matter.
