MERLIN
The Marine Environmental Research Lab for Intelligent Vechicles (MERLIN) is a multi-disciplinary facility at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, that is involved with the use of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for research in the marine environment.
The lab's primary assets to date are the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Explorer AUV, and its Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) System. The Explorer AUV was manufactured by International Submarine Engineering and acquired by ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ in 2005. The AUV was delivered to the university in 2006.
