Procedures Day
Procedures Day is an annual event that gives pre-clerkship students the opportunity to practice basic procedures of interest. It is especially useful for second year students as they prepare to enter clerkship. This year’s Procedures Day took place on March 21 at the med school labs, with 6 stations and 60 students (IV insertion, blood draws, joint injections, intubations, OB delivery, and IUD insertions). Lunch was provided thanks to support from the NL College of Family Physicians and CFPC national. Feedback was very positive. Students especially appreciated the small-group, hands-on format.
