At the May 2021 meeting of the Board of Regents, the board recommended that the be revised to “�Ӱɴ�ý and Labrador.”

�Ӱɴ�ý’s official name remains �Ӱɴ�ý until it is officially changed in the �Ӱɴ�ý University Act. No determination has yet been made on how the abbreviation for the university may change based on an official name change. Marketing and Communications recommends using �Ӱɴ�ý or MUN until further guidance is developed.
