ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ has the only linguistics department in Atlantic Canada.
Our department offers a comprehensive curriculum delivered by experienced faculty, and our graduates are regularly admitted to competitive graduate programs, particularly in Linguistics and Speech-Language Pathology.
Through data-driven, theoretically informed inquiry, MUN faculty and students conduct research on language structure, language acquisition, and language variation and change. Our department also conducts work on language documentation and revitalization. ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ is host to exceptional in-house data archives, broad library holdings, and state-of-the-art labs and analytical tools.
