On July 23, 2014 representatives of ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University and the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) signed a collective agreement involving custodial personnel at the University (NAPE local 7804/1809).

This is a four year agreement which expires, similar to other public sector groups, in March 2016.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of this collective agreement,â€ said Stephen Dodge, director of Human Resources at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½. He went on to say, “I would like to thank both ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ and NAPE representatives involved for their work and commitment to successfully concluding the bargaining process.â€

This signing marks the third NAPE collective agreement reached in the last few months. In May 2014, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ also announced successful negotiations were concluded involving campus enforcement and patrol personnel (NAPE local 7803/1804) and maintenance support staff (NAPE local 7801).
