Safe Wharves Project
The Safe Wharves project was a mixed methods, multi-component, community-partnered SafetyNet research and knowledge mobilization initiative. The overall objectives of the Safe Wharves Project were: 1) to identify the extent and nature of some of the key safety issues associated with fishing wharves in rural Newfoundland; and, 2) to mobilize this knowledge with the goal of identifying potential ways to improve the safety governance of wharves so as to reduce near-misses, accidents, injuries and fatalities.
