Consultation is now open on the draft revised policy and new procedure for Reallocation, Renewal and Reduction of Canada Research Chairs (CRCs) at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University.

Proposed revisions include:

• Change of the policy name for clarity;
• Separation of policy principles and procedural aspects including the introduction of a new related procedure;
• Alignment with updated guidelines from the CRC Program; and
• Updates to better define roles, responsibilities, expectations, and administrative processes related to CRCs at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½.

The initial review was led by the associate vice-president (research) and is informed by CRC Program updates, the institutional Research Strategy 2023-28 and operational realities from ÐÓ°É´«Ã½â€™s administrating unit, Research Initiatives and Services.
