Women+ in academia: Building community and shaping change

A first-of-its-kind event centred on the experiences of women, non-binary and gender-diverse faculty members and postdoctoral researchers is taking place at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½.

Women+ in academia: Building community and shaping change is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The event will be held both in person, in the Core Science Facility (CSF), room 1302 on the St. John’s campus, as well as virtually.

This event focuses on the challenges that women+ face at different career stages, learning about available supports, building networks and mentorship connections, and identifying actionable recommendations to advance their success at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½.

The session is brought to you in part by the Office of the Vice-President (Research and Innovation) in collaboration with a strong network of women+ colleagues from across ÐÓ°É´«Ã½â€™s many campuses and academic units.

Registration is free but in-person participation is limited. .
