Bio: Melanie Coughlin is Jointly Appointed Assistant Professor, Department of Religious Studies and Department of Philosophy, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ in Canada. She has published in the Journal of Nietzsche Studies, Philosophy East & West, and Studies in Religion/Sciences Religieuses

She is part of an international collaborative translation project bringing the philosophy of Keta Masako (the first woman member of the Kyoto School) into English-language scholarship. She is also writing a book-length manuscript on Nishitani Keiji's critique of anthropocentrism.
