SUBJECT: PSA: Pop-up art hives happening in a library near you

You are invited to take part in the upcoming research project, Libraries as Public “Home Spaces”: Engaging with Multiple Literacies Through Community Pop-up Art Hives.

Art hives are public spaces for people to gather, make art, connect and engage. Libraries are places to explore ideas, to converge and to learn. 

Join ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University’s Faculty of Education, in collaboration with ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University Libraries and Newfoundland and Labrador Public Libraries, throughout the summer at a library in St. John’s to explore, create art and make community connections. All ages, all genders welcome.

Art hives taking place this summer:

  • Thursday, July 5, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth II Library, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½'s St. John’s campus (864-7423)
  • Wednesday, July 11, from 3-4:30 p.m. at the A.C. Hunter Library, St. John's Arts and Culture Centre (737-3950)
  • Friday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Faculty of Education library, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½'s St. John’s campus (864-7465)
  • Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 3-4:30 p.m. at the A.C. Hunter Library, St. John's Arts and Culture Centre (737-3950)
