SUBJECT: PSA: Message Control and Canadian Democracy

ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University Libraries’ Check it Out! Celebrating Culture series is hosting a lively discussion inspired by Dr. Alex Marland's recent publication Brand Command, an exploration of Canadian politics, message control and democracy as we know it.
Panellists include Peter Cowan, CBC; Alex Marland, Department of Political Science, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University; James McLeod, The Telegram; and Nancy Pedri, Department of English, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University.
The event will be moderated by Ryan Lewis, social sciences liaison librarian with ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University Libraries.
The lecture will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 1-2 p.m. in the Centre for Newfoundland Studies on the third floor of the Queen Elizabeth II Library.
