SUBJECT: PSA: ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ one of six universities to partner on groundbreaking health promotion movement

This afternoon, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University will partner in leading an international effort to create campuses that will improve the health and well-being of students, faculty, staff and the community.

ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University joins the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Mount Royal University, the University of Lethbridge and the University of Calgary as the first universities to formally adopt the . The charter calls on post-secondary institutions to commit to embedding health and well-being into all institutional policies and practices.

Dr. Gary Kachanoski, president and vice-chancellor; Dr. TA Loeffler, professor, School of Human Kinetics and Recreation; and Dr. Peter Cornish, director, Student Wellness and Counselling Centre; will sign the Okanagan Charter this afternoon.
