SUBJECT: Collaborative program on integrated operations in remote and harsh locations

In collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University is hosting the Summer Program on integrated Operations in Remote and Harsh Locations from June 27-Aug. 5, 2016.
Over the next six weeks, students from ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ and NTNU will attend customized courses on ÐÓ°É´«Ã½’s St. John’s campus, the Marine Institute and the Offshore Safety and Survival Centre in Foxtrap on integrated operations; drilling; improved oil recovery; safety and risk management; automated underwater vehicles; marine safety; and marine logistics and supply.
At the end of the program, students will give a final presentation on a case study to design an integrated operations-centric exploration/development plan for the Flemish Pass area, offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.
Media are invited to interview the students and collaborators during the program at the following times:
- July 14 when students are in the drilling laboratory
- July 18 and July 22 when students are in the Hibernia Enhanced Oil Recovery Laboratory
- July 25-26 when students are at the Offshore Safety and Survival Centre in Foxtrap
