SUBJECT: PSA: ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University and St. John’s Native Friendship Centre to sign MOU at Aboriginal diversity awareness celebration
DATE: June 7, 2012
On Friday, June 8, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½’s Aboriginal Resource Office (ARO), in partnership with the St. John’s Native Friendship Centre (SJNFC), will hold an Aboriginal Diversity Awareness Celebration.
This event will take place from 12-2 p.m. at the University Centre, room UC-2001 (MUNSU council chambers).
The celebration will open with an Aboriginal welcome and song, followed by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University and the SJNFC at 12:30 p.m.
The event will conclude with a showing of Its Time, one of four films of the 8th Fire series produced by CBC.
