SUBJECT: ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University president to sign Sustainability Declaration

ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University President Dr. Chris Loomis (pro tempore) will sign the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University Sustainability Declaration Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at The Landing, located on the third floor of the University Centre on the St. John’s campus. Charlene Johnson, minister of Environment and Conservation, and Luis Rodrigues, vice-president of energy solutions for Honeywell, will be in attendance.
The signing ceremony also marks the completion of the construction phase of the Energy and Facility Renewal Program at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University. Infrastructure upgrades carried out by Honeywell will generate significant savings for the university and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions. A reception will follow the signing.
