SUBJECT: ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University holds auditions next week for unique contest

Preparations are well underway for a unique contest at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ that’ll give away cold hard cash.
Auditions will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, for the university’s Rant Like Rick contest.
Students are encouraged to attend the auditions with a prepared rant for a chance to qualify for the grand prizes. They’ll be asked to present a rant on camera on a subject chosen by them. Rants should range between 30 and 90 seconds in length.
From those that audition, the top ten will qualify for what organizers are calling a “Rantastic death match….American Idol style,” set for Oct. 24 during ÐÓ°É´«Ã½’s annual fall celebrations – I Love MUNdays.
The contest is open to full-time students currently enrolled in the fall semester. The top three winners will be awarded $1000, $750, and $500, respectively.
Auditions take place on Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in room ED-1037A in the basement of the Education Building on ÐÓ°É´«Ã½’s St. John’s campus.
