SUBJECT: ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University Board of Regents meets in Corner Brook

ÐÓ°É´«Ã½’s Board of Regents are meeting today on this province’s west coast. This is the first meeting with the board’s new chair, Gilbert Dalton. Business executive and ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ alumnus Mr. Dalton was appointed to the position by the provincial government on March 13.
The Board of Regents – the university’s governing body – will meet at the Glynmill Inn in Corner Brook on March 22-23, 2007. Dr. John Ashton, Principal of Sir Wilfred Grenfell College will address the Board.
While in Corner Brook, Mr. Dalton will also host a community event on the evening of March 22, at the Glynmill Inn. ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ President Dr. Axel Meisen will make a presentation on the University, with emphasis on Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. Media agencies are invited to send representatives.
