SUBJECT: Respected aboriginal leader delivers lecture at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University

To commemorate National Aboriginal Day, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University’s Faculty of Arts is co-sponsoring a special lecture tonight, Wednesday, June 21, 2006, by one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s most respected aboriginal leaders.
Dr. Elizabeth Penashue of the Innu Nation, an honorary degree recipient of ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, will deliver a talk tonight titled Sustaining the Innu Culture.
Her lecture is also sponsored by the Aboriginal Minor program, the St. John’s Native Friendship Centre Association and Provincial Airlines-Innu-Mikun Airlines.
The lecture takes place in the Arts and Administration Building on the St. John’s campus from 8-10 p.m. in room A-1046.
Free parking is available in lot 15B near the Music Building.
