SUBJECT: PSA: Lecture at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ to examine music and patriotism in pre-confederation Newfoundland

On Wednesday, March 9, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University’s School of Music presents a lecture by Glenn Colton, Department of Music at Lakehead University, titled Music and Patriotism in Pre-Confederation Newfoundland. The lecture will be held in the School of Music, room MU-1032 and will start at 7:30 p.m.This lecture is part of a broad research project on the history of Newfoundland music and is sponsored by the Research Centre for the study of Music, Media and Place at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½. Mr. Colton’s other research interests include Canadian music, 19th and 20th century music, and interdisciplinary studies dealing with music, literature and visual art.
