�Ӱɴ�ý

Born in Bangladesh and grew up in India, Sanchita Chakraborty (she/her) is a performance artist and professionally trained dance choreographer who has also called St. John’s her home away from home. She holds a Bachelorette of law degree (LL.B) from the University of Calcutta, India, and has studied Criminology at �Ӱɴ�ý University, NL. During her time at �Ӱɴ�ý, she helped the chess team reach the Intercollege Championship. As a Diversity Officer at the Association for New Canadians, she is fluent in approximately six languages. Fusing together Newfoundland with South-Asian style into dance, she founded the “Bollywood Jig” dance troupe. 

Sanchita is currently serving as the Business Diversity Officer at the Association for New Canadians.​
