Stable Isotope Laboratory
The Stable Isotope Laboratory (SIL) of ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University works under the administration of the CREAIT Network. The SIL performs analyses of the stable isotopes of C, N, H and O in various sample types, and also performs general gas chromatography. The SIL performs analyses for various departments at MUN, for other universities, and for the government.
Our mandate is to facilitate research and training at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ University. We perform analyses in support of research, and work with supervisors and students in developing methods for new applications. We also provide instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in isotope ratio mass spectrometry techniques and in gas chromatography.
